Nigerian man kills dad, eats him

Police in Nigeria reportedly arrested a 30-year-old man, Nwode Chukwudi Awam, who beheaded his 56-year-old father, Michael Awam, and ate his neck.
According to vanguardngr.com, the man threatened to kill anyone who came close to him.
"When the police went for him, he was waving the machete which he used to cut his father's head and threatening to kill anybody that gets close to him. He was overpowered all the same," police said.
Apparently, the 30-year-old was seen eating the entire stub of the neck.
The police said the incident is not "unconnected with ritual because it does appear that he may have been asked to do such a thing."
The suspect, who was seen intermittently smiling and looking suspiciously calm, said he carried out the act after he heard a voice which told him to go to his village and kill his father.
