35-year-old Kaletsoe Madiehe from Section K, Botshabelo, outside Bloemfontein was shocked when she got a call from a security guard to say her car was on the roof.
Her husband had parked the car in the driveway of the company where he worked then his angry boss allegedly lifted it with a forklift and parked it on the roof of the office building.
"I was at home when security called me.
"They said my husband's boss had put the car on the roof. I don't know why he did that. My husband often leaves his car at work," she said.
Kaletsoe's husband, Mahlomola Madiehe (42), is a truck driver. He leaves his car, a white Jetta 5, in the parking lot in the morning before he does his rounds.
This time he parked the car in the driveway, blocking cars from entering or exiting the premises.
It's alleged the boss became angry and forklifted Mahlomola's car onto the roof then he took the keys from the forklift and left the office.
Bertus Kritzinger, Mahlomola's employer, reportedly said that he didn't know anything about a car on the roof.
Navalsig Police Station commander Colonel Itumeleng Pule said when the police got to the premises they called Bertus who apparently brought the key.
"He got into the forklift and took the car down," Pule said.
She said if there is any damage to the car the owner can open a case of malicious damage to property.
Kaletsoe said the car has been taken to the AA to see if it was damaged.
