lt was a full house at Berea Park today as about 2000 Zimbabweans gathered to remember our fallen heroes. Both Zimbabweans and South Africans gathered together to remember the gallant heroes who fought the Rhodesian forces in 1967 in Sipolilo and Wankie areas.

These liberation fighters are now known as the Luthuli Detachment. Zipra Veterans Trust chairperson bemourned the curent situation back home as the ZanuPf government continue to hold on to Zipra farms and companies that they hijacked in the early 1980s.

It is high time Zanu returns these properties to the rightful owners as their families live in poverty.

The ward councillor encouraged Zapu/Anc cdes to work together as one as Zipra/Umkhonto have demonstrated. The crowd sang and danced to revolutionary songs as the commemorations continued right through the day.

The Zapu Pec secretary for admnistraion praised the mighty Zipra as he reminded the 2000 strong crowd that it was Zipra who forced Ian Douglas Smith to the Lancaster House talks that brought independence that is being enjoyed by only ZanuPf .

Zipra has an unfinished business of liberating Zimbabweans from the tyranny.
