The family of an EFF party worker killed in a crash were shocked when drunk mourners took off their clothes at her funeral and an after tears party.
Mourners twerked and poured liquor on the grave of Clara Magagula (32) at her burial at Numbi Cemetery near Hazyview in Mpumalanga on Sunday.
Clara's mum Paulina Mrapa (58) said: "Drunk people climbed trees at the graveyard.
"They also tore seat covers that the funeral company provided."
Paulina said she had no money to pay for the torn seat covers. She will be raising Clara's 13-year-old son Andile.
EFF ward co-ordinator Mcosheni Hlabathi said Clara's funeral was full of red berets and EFF slogans.
"But there was not a single red beret seen misbehaving," he said.
Zoe Mhlanga, one of the women who stripped, said she and Clara used to twerk at taverns, funerals and parties.
"This was the only way to remember her. It was how she lived. She will rest in peace with a big smile knowing we rocked her funeral."
