'Goblin makes man's privates itch'

46-year-old Mark Peterson, from Lawley, south of Johannesburg says that every time he gets under the covers with a woman, things go horribly wrong.

They either dump him on the spot, or disappear later without him knowing why.

"The women can't explain to me what I did to make them leave," Mark said.

"One day my ex-girlfriend woke up in the bed I was sharing with her, and just told me she was no longer interested in the relationship.

"I tried to call her, but she didn't answer her phone."

He also tried his luck with three other women.

But the relationships all ended suddenly and without explanation.

Mark has been to different traditional healers to get help.

"I spent more than R10 000," he said. "One sangoma told me it was an is'citho tokoloshe that makes people not want me.

"He gave me muthi to wash and drink, but the problem didn't go away." Mark said his nightmare started in 2002, after his ex-girlfriend gave him used shoes to wear.

A few hours later he started having strange feelings in his body. "I started itching, and to this day I still scratch myself, especially around my penis," he said.

"I've consulted so many medical doctors and herbalists, thinking it was a skin problem, but they couldn't help me.

"Their medicine didn't work.

"I appeal to strong inyangas and sangomas to help chase away this curse," Mark said.
