Beitbridge Border queue stretching for about 2km, Ebola screen in SA
03 Dec 2014 at 12:15hrs | Views
Am at the Beitbridge border, South African side, (am entering South Africa ) there is a queue stretching for about 2km. People are being screened for EBOLA, and there is ONE SCREENING POINT.
I find this an issue of disrespect of other Nationals as well as DIPLOMATIC CONCERN.
People are being ushered like cattle to a dip and immigration officials using offensive language to even older people.
I have NO PROBLEM with a country trying to protect its TERRITORY and CITIZENS but NOT at the expense of stripping the other nations of their DIGNITY.
I call upon our ZIMBABWEAN PARLIAMENTARIANS and relevant officials to do something about this, if possible, engage South African authorities.
