THREE women were raped in separate incidents in Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Cops said all of the victims were on their way back home after a night of clubbing.
One of the women, aged 30, from New Eersterus was gang-raped by three men.
This was after she was abducted at gunpoint while she and her boyfriend were on their way back from a tavern in Block MM, Soshanguve.
Recalling what happened, her boyfriend (whose name is being withheld to protect her identity) said: "When we got to New Eersterus a white double cab Nissan bakkie pulled up.
"A man sitting in the back seat got out and pointed a firearm at us.
"He demanded money and cellphones, which we didn't have.
"He then forced my girlfriend into the car. He told her to undress and told the driver to drive off."
Warrant Officer Herman Moremi of Temba Police said: "It's alleged they drove to a nearby bush where the suspects forced the victim to bend over and started raping her without protection.
"They took turns raping her.
"The victim's face was covered with the driver's hat. This was to prevent her from identifying them. We call on community members to be on the look-out for this bakkie. The suspects are unknown. They are still at large."
He issued these safety tips: "Community members who frequent taverns must not accept drinks or lifts from strangers.
"You must stop taking short-cuts to your destinations as these are often dark and criminals use such places to their advantage.
"Use busy public roads where everyone can see you," said Moremi.
He urged victims to immediately report such cases to the police so that they could be taken to hospital.
