Johannesburg - A Zimbabwean man was arrested for allegedly selling fake sick notes in Ivory Park, Johannesburg police said on Thursday.
Spokesperson Neldah Hlase said: "Police went to his address on Wednesday together with one of the doctors and the witness who bought the sick note from the suspect."
She said a sick note was allegedly worth R70 and contained a stamp with a doctor's name.
The 24-year-old man allegedly started his "business" years ago when he first saw a fraudulent note in 2007.
Police confiscated computers, a printer and a photocopy machine.
The man would soon appear in the Tembisa Magistrate's Court on charges on fraud and possession of suspected stolen property.
