Mugabe arrives in Luanda for the Sadc summit

Luanda – Robert Mugabe, arrived in Luanda this evening to participate in the 31st Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government, on August 17-18.
Mugabe was welcomed by Angola's Minister of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security, Pitra Neto, and the Deputy Governor of Luanda,Jovelina Imperial.
Robert Mugabe who was the last Statesman to arrive in Luanda was also received by the director of Africa and Middle East of the Angolan Foreign affairs Ministry, Joaquim do Espirito Santo, as well as high ranking officers of the Zimbabwean embassy to Angola.
The summit will take place under the theme "Consolidating the basis of regional integration: Development of infrastructures to facilitate the commercial exchanges and the economic liberalisation" and is expected to gather over 600 guests among Heads of State and Government, delegates, ministers.
Under the Summit, the Angolan Head of state, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, will host a dinner to his African colleagues.
