SADC appoints committee of 13 on Lesotho crisis

The SADC Double Troika ended last night with the region's leaders setting two committees to investigate the death of Lesotho's Brigadier General Maaparankoe Mahao.
The committee will look at how Brigadier General Mahao was killed with a forensic pathologist dispatched to Lesotho immediately to find out what happened.
The committee of 13 which will look at the implication of political and military structures of Lesotho which has seen a lot of tension and military people move out of the barracks and taste power.
The death of Brigadier General Mahao plunged Lesotho into crisis with politicians being detained, three leaders of the opposition fleeing the country, hence the calling of the Double Troika consisting Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, South Africa, Namibia and Lesotho from the organ.
