Botswana President Khama to replace Mugabe

President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe is expected to hand over the SADC Chairmanship to the Republic of Botswana President, Lt. Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama when the the 35th SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government resumes next week Monday (17th -18th August).

Botswana will be hosting the Sadc summit 15 for the second time exactly 10 years after hosting for the first time in August 2005.

Mugabe who is also a chairman for the African Union is currently the chairman for the Sadc.
