A student at Palapye Vocational Training College in Botswana was this week dragged to Palapye customary court to answer to a charge of marriage wrecking.
The Voice reported that Onalenna Deborah Moagi, 21-stood accused of having an affair with George Serumola, 62, before Palapye Court President, Kgosi Masego Olebile.
Serumola's 33- year- old wife, Masego Serumola, told the court that she decided to lay a charge of marriage wrecking against the Auto Electrical and Motor Mechanics student after she found her relaxing on a couch in their marital home with a remote control in her hand.
Narrating the events of June 2, 2015, Keamogetse told the court that she made a surprise visit to their matrimonial home after two months of separation from her husband only to discover that he was having an affair.
"I had gone to collect my educational and marriage certificates when I found her seated on my couch fiddling with the remote control. The moment I stepped into the living room, my husband rushed to the bedroom to hide his mistress' s clothes," she said.
The estranged wife further claimed to have interrogated the mistress while the husband was still in the bedroom until she confessed to an affair.
"I quizzed her and she panicked and confessed to having an intimate relationship with my husband" Keamogetse said
Moagi however refuted allegations that a confession was extracted out of her.
She said that she had gone to the old man's house to do a part time cleaning job to supplement her meager student allowance.
Kgosi Olebile dismissed the matter and discharged the student, citing insufficient evidence to support the charge.
