When Xolani Shibane (31) refused to give his friend two slices of bread, the bitter man allegedly stabbed his 4-5.
Xolani bled to death.
Now the friend is on the run.
They lived and begged together on the street. . . until they fought over two slices of brown bread!
Daily Sun reported that Xolani's family was shocked by the bloody death scene in the old building where he lived for two years.
The tragedy happened on Thursday night in Bloemfontein. Xolani's girlfriend (19), who didn't want to be named, said he was a peaceful man and his friend was drunk.
"We were in love," she said.
The girlfriend said Xolani had a loaf of bread and refused his friend's request for two slices. The friend swore at Xolani and attacked him with a knife, but Xolani fought back. "He stabbed Xolani's private parts," said the girlfriend.
"Xolani told him that he had stabbed him badly, but he said he only stabbed him on the thigh. As Xolani collapsed, he ran away. Xolani died before he could be taken to hospital."
Xolani's family from Botshabelo went to collect his spirit yesterday. His sister Florence Mosesi (43) wiped up blood and took Xolani's bloody blanket. "We hope his spirit will rest in peace," said Florence.
Captain Chaka Marope said Park Road cops were looking for the suspect.
"Paramedics declared him dead as a result of blood loss," Marope said.
" People who know where cops can find the suspect can contact the investigating officer, detective Warrant Officer Khaile Mathibela on 082 779 8868."
