MDC-T distances itself from fake SA permits

MDC-T South Africa branch has warned Zimbabweans in that country that there are people claiming to be party members who can facilitate securing of South African permits.
The opposition party said the fake permits range between R3000 to R5000.
Below is the full statement :
It has been established that there is a serial group of schemers going around South Africa robbing unsuspecting Zimbabweans between R3000 to R5000, by promising them temporal residences permits. Permits which are Fake.
What is more worrying and disturbing to us as a Party is that these criminals are using our party name and structures to further their criminal activities.
The schemers are mainly ripe in Johannesburg. We need to warn our members in and around Johannesburg about these groups of criminals. They are very persuasive and dangerous.
MDCT is not part of the South Africa Home Affairs, hence no member of our party can facilitate or issue any permits.
Furthermore, a probe to the same matter has established that our members are being made to pay exorbitant fees, as subscriptions and membership fees without our knowledge. There hasn't been an agreed fee to that effect, and we are still waiting for direction from the party leadership to that effect.
If there is any party member who has been made to pay
such, he or she has fallen to fraudulent schemes and they need to get in touch with us, so that we take those involved to task.
Its only officially established MDC T districts in South Africa which can only issue party cards. We will publish the details and process of issuing membership cards as soon as the party gives us the direction.
