Sex pest teachers not replaced!

THE education of high school pupils in South Africa has been but at risk - twice!
First the two teachers who were employed to teach them physical science and maths literacy were suspended following allegations of touching girls and engaging in sex with them after school.
Then the department neglected to send replacement teachers in these two very important subjects - since February!
Now, with only two months until the end of the year exams, pupils of Phusela High School in Tzaneen, Limpopo are in a panic.
The two teachers were suspended in February and were transferred to primary schools in Lenyenye and Tickeyline.
This was after grade 10 and 11 girls aged between 16 and 19 spoke about the teachers' alleged demand for sexual favours in exchange for passing grades.
The two teachers allegedly bragged to their colleagues about how they molested "forbidden fruit".
One of the pupils said: "In anger we poured our hearts out to Cosas. An investigation was launched and the teachers were suspended.
"But now we fear failing at the end of the year because the department has not sent other teachers to replace them."
Principal Bernard Letsoalo confirmed the teachers' suspension, adding that other teachers offered a helping hand in these subjects but it wasn't enough.
"We hope the department will come to our rescue soon," he said.
Education spokesman Naledzani Rasila said the department is aware of the problem and promised it is getting attention.
