Teacher assaults pupil with broomstick, breaks her arm

A high school teacher in South Africa reportedly broken a 20-year-old matric pupil's arm when he assaulted her with a broomstick.
The matric student claims that she was only two minutes late for history class.
Apparently the teacher assaulted Philline Ramonyai 26 times with a broomstick.
"He hit me 26 times with the stick and I soon realised something was wrong with my hand.I reported the matter to the principal but nothing happened," she told Daily Sun.
She was later taken to Manwkeng Hospital by her parents and the doctors advised her to open an assault case.
This was after it was found that some bones in her right hand were broken.
Authorities in South Africa claim that corporal punishment is against the law.
