Pregnant woman raped during examination at Hospital

The Phuthaditjhaba Family‚ Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit have apprehended a suspect for allegedly raping a pregnant woman during her examination in a hospital.
Sowetan newspaper reported that the 29-year-old pregnant woman from Bohlokong near Bethlehem alleges that she was at the local hospital in Qwaqwa for examination when the suspect raped her on 27 November at approximately 2.30pm.
"She reported the incident to her boyfriend and they both later reported it to (an) uncle‚ who went to the hospital manager with the victim‚" the SA Police Service said in a statement.
The case was opened this week at the Namahadi police station and the suspect‚ also aged 29‚ was arrested.
He appeared before the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrates' court today (Wednesday)‚ to face a charge of rape.
