Murder suspects denied bail

Village magistrate's court today denied Tumelo Tshukudu and Baboloki Seiso bail for the second time this afternoon.
The Voice reported that the duo who are represented by attorney Enoch Mazonde, were recently remanded in prison in connection with the murder of Fairgrounds Holdings Chief Executive Officer Michael Montshiwa.
The court heard that the rifle that was used to kill Montshiwa was bought from Seiso by murder suspect, David Modise, with the assistance of Tshukudu.
On December 24th, Modise appeared before the same court and was given conditional bail of P10 000. The 31 year old lawyer is facing two charges of murder and stealing by agent.
Attorney Mazonde said he would apply for his clients' bail through the high court.
He said it does not make sense for the duo to be remanded in custody for selling the rifle while the murder suspect, Modise, is on bail.
He argued that his clients could only be charged with illegal possession of firearm not murder.
