Double murder accused, Bakang Godisang, seem to have got confused and claims investigators want to turn her into a state witness.
The Voice reported that Godisang who is facing two counts of murder and arson together with her friend Caroline Gwamolumba, who was not before the court because of medical reasons, had her prison remand extended this week to give way for further investigations.
She was appearing before court for the second time alone while her co accused is said to be undergoing chemotherapy in South Africa.
She told Broadhurst Magistrate Munashe Ndlovu that she was surprised that she was brought before court even though she was asked to become a state witness.
"On Monday investigators asked me to write a confession statement and now I am appearing in court. I am confused and I was not even there when the incident happened," she said.
The two women are alleged to have, on December 23 last year, killed Gwamolumba's love rival, Tuelo Mokgalo and her younger sister Kgalalelo Mokgalo at Block 3 location in Gaborone by torching the house they were sleeping in.
The case continues.
