Toddler stuffed in bag and dumped

Police in Joburg South Africa are searching for the mother of a child, presumed to be about two years old, who was tied up in a plastic bag and then left on the side of a road in the Kensington suburb.
A security guard noticed the occupants of a car leave the bag near Jeppe High School for Boys on Tuesday, Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said yesterday.
He noticed movement in the bag and went to look. He freed the girl and took her to the Jeppe Police Station.
She was taken to hospital and cases of child abandonment and attempted murder were opened. Police are searching for the parents.
The child was taken to a place of safety.
