Man tries to commit suicide after girlfriend finds dirty G-string on his bed

Embarrassed and faced with the possibility of losing his girlfriend, a 34- year old man who works for Jwaneng mine attempted to commit suicide after a dirty g-string was found on his bed on Sunday.

The Voice reported that  Ishmael Sebeso left for a football match in Lobatse on Saturday, promising to visit his girlfriend Lilian Wageng, a nurse at Kanye Adventist hospital after the game but did not keep his promise.

"Worried that something could have happened to her lover as he failed to honour the promise, Wageng went to Sebeso's place the following morning to check on him. While sitting on top of the bed she saw a dirty g-string beside the bed," said the source.

She immediately confronted Sebeso who professed ignorance over the g-string.

Wageng then stormed out of the house heading back to her place with Sebeso hot on her heels. When the two arrived in Kanye Sebeso attempted to hang himself.

Wageng who was outside at the time returned into the house after hearing her boyfriend wailing only to find him hanging on the rafters of the house.

She took a knife cut the belt and reported the matter to the police. He was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted.

Kanye Station Commander Superintendent Mmoloki Mogale confirmed the incident but said investigations to establish Sebeso's reasons for attempting suicide were underway.

He however said the man is likely to be charged with common nuisance.
