CONSTRUCTION workers found what appears to be human bones at an apartment complex they were renovating.
At the time they were clearing rubble at a site in Doornfontein, Joburg.
Daily Sun reported that before renovations started a family contacted workers and said that a loved one was last seen at the apartment complex before he went missing last year.
On Wednesday a torso and parts of a leg were found on the bottom floor.
Dumisani Mthembu (35) from Cosmo City, who contacted the workers and asked that they let him know if they found anything, said he believes the bones could be those of his brother Bonginkosi.
A resident in the area Nkosana Xaba (34) said that the building had been a hotbed of criminal activity in the past.
Cops received a call from the construction workers on Wednesday about bones they had found.
The bones have been taken for forensic analysis to determine whether they are human.
