Police arrest eight stock theft suspects

The police in Mochudi arrested eight suspects believed to be part of the syndicate that is involved in stock theft in the Kgatleng District.
The Voice reported that the suspects who are Batswana men aged between 27 and 44 years and one Zimbabwean aged 53 were arrested in connection with a number of stock theft cases reported in the area.
The suspects were also found in possession of suspected forged animal movement permits and livestock inspection reports.
Police investigations led to some of the butcheries in Gaborone and Mogoditshane that were found in possession of the meat of the suspected stolen stock.
Meanwhile police in Gaborone arrested three men for possession of nine cell phones suspected to be stolen.
The trio, a 53-year-old Zimbabwean illegal immigrant and two Batswana men aged 20 and 28 years were arrested in Gaborone.
