A 24-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly caused malicious damage to State property by vandalising several classrooms at Kanyumara Primary School in the Ndiyona district.

The New Era reported that during the spree the suspect allegedly smashed 18 classroom windows. The incident occurred at around 01h00 on Sunday.

The suspect, who is said to be a resident of Kanyumara village where the school is situated, was arrested by the police after he apparently used stones to smash classroom windows of an unspecified value.
