Gantsi Police are investigating a case in which a 34 year old woman of White City ward lost part of her ear during a catfight on Sunday.

The Voice reported that the Principal Court Reporter at Gantsi Magistrate's court ear was bitten off by a 33 year old woman whom she owed some money.

Gantsi Police Station Commander, Superintendent Isaac Bojang, said the suspect confronted the Court Reporter at her place in connection with some money she owed them.

"Hell broke during the confrontation and she bit off part of her ear," he said.

Bojang added that the victim has since been discharged from hospital and that they are waiting for her to fully recover before charging the attacker with grievous bodily harm. "We are still investigating and we don't have many details including the amount of money that they were fighting for," said the Gantsi Police boss.

The suspect has since been released from police detention as she has an infant to take care of.
