SA to buy local, what about Zimbabwe?
01 Nov 2011 at 13:08hrs | Views
The BUY - South Africa Accord was signed on Monday 31 October 2011 by the SA Government, labour, business and civic society.
Of major importance in the the Accord is a provision calling for 75 percent local (SA) procurement, with the programme earmarked to begin this year.
If SA which has a much stronger economy compared to Zimbabwe is now taking these steps to protect itself from cheap imports and save jobs, what more of Zimbabwe, who need to do more to revive our local industry.
Perhaps this is a wake up call for Zimbabwe to do more to help its local industry recover.
