Six in court for possession of dagga

A gang of six people charged with possession of dagga appeared at Palapye court in Botswana but their case was postponed after a defence lawyer withdrew from representing them.
Mmegi reported that the trial of the six people charged with unlawful possession of dagga was postponed after the defense attorney, Kakanyo Mokwena of Mokwena KP & Partners withdrew from representing the other four accused persons.
Rosinah Moloto and Mosetsana Nareng are the only ones that will be represented by an attorney.
It is alleged that on March 25, 2010 at Sesole ward in Lerala the accused persons, Rejoice Senwedi, Rosinah (Moloto), Keneilwe Moloto, Gaseyone Motalaote, Legoanyana Senwelo and Nareng were found in possession of dagga weighing 2.5kg.
The trial was postponed to September 5-6, 2016.
