Granny, 86, strangled to death

A 30 -year -old man from Mapatse settlement near Marapong village appeared in court this week charged with the murder of an 86- year old granny whom he accused of ‘spoiling' his good name.
The Voice reported that it was not clear in court how the late Rebeilwe Oganne ‘spoilt' Sebeueng Masire's name who recently stormed into the deceased's home to tell her his piece of mind.
Instead of only confronting her, Masire allegedly punched the old woman a few times before strangling her.
When he appeared before Francistown Principal Magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu, Masire was not asked to take a plea and was remanded in custody.
