Some tobacco farmers have moved from Tobacco Sales Floor to Boka (TFS) after the skirmishes in Harare on 4 March.

The farmers who demonstrated against the golden leaf buyer and banks were later dispersed by anti- riot police.

The police rampage scared away many farmers as some have shifted to Boka and Premier tobacco.

Farmers who spoke to Bulawayo24.com said TSF was offering good money, $4-5  per kg, but the tear gas used on them by police on the 4th of May chased them away.

"We were selling at TSF because it is offering good money but the chaos of 4 May has chased us away, it is better to get less money without hassles, tobacco is not an easy crop to grow," lamented a farmer.
