The prevailing climatic variations demand farmers to adapt to new farming styles for good crop quality and yield.

This comes at a time when the continent is experiencing climatic changes including altered rainfall and weather patterns.

Agronomist Mr Irvin Craig said the change in rainfall and weather patterns should see farmers adjusting their seed varieties to suit the prevailing weather patterns and know the type of inputs required.

He added that in some parts of the country farmers should start to consider irrigation changes.

Climate change continues to nag modern society as it has destroyed established patterns thus plunging many farmers into losses incurred after they fail to adhere to good timing.
