Mnangagwa summons Dokora over Form 1 enrolment

Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday said he had summoned Primary and Secondary Education minister Lazarus Dokora to his office to explain how the new Form One electronic selection system works.

This follows Dokora's recent announcement that the selection process for next year's Form One intake would be done electronically and simultaneously on December 16 to curb corruption.

Announcing the new policy early this month, Dokora said parents would be required to complete an electronic form, specifying three schools of their choice.

The form would then be forwarded to the relevant schools and parents would get feedback via a message on the outcome of their application by December 19.
