Mugabe caps 391 Bindura University graduates

PRESIDENT Mugabe on Friday capped 391 graduates from the Bindura University of Science Education, an increase from
last year's 363.
Bindura University Vice Chancellor, Professor Eddie Mwenje commended the graduands for their resilience, having enrolled in 2007 when the effects of sanctions were at their worst.
Professor Mwenje said Bindura University continues to emphasise on quality assurance on its programmes.
"The science education training is a good programme that the nation should continue to invest in and industry should also get involved by giving support to this training. The rebuilding of our industries and successful exploitation of our resources hinges on our scientific capacity as a nation," said Professor Mwenje.
The graduates who received bachelors and masters degrees were drawn from the faculties of agriculture, environment, commerce and science education.
