Collin Nyabadza's Trust donates soccer equipment to Tsholotsho school

The Collin Nyabadza Children's Voice Charitable Trust (CNCVCT) handed over soccer equipment to Samahuru Secondary School in Tsholotsho District, today on the 15th of May 2017 at the school.
The equipment which was sourced from a USA based organization, Football For Kids could not have come at a perfect time than this, as it comes when schools just opened for the second term two weeks ago.
The second term in the Zimbabwe school calendar is set aside for ball games such as volleyball, basketball, netball and football. The equipment included ten soccer balls.
"The donation of this equipment will certainly help boost morale for our kids. It will certainly spur them to greater heights", said the school's head Mr. Muziwandile Dube who is also a volunteer board member of the CNCVCT. Besides helping schools with items such as sports equipment and other things, the organization is working extremely hard to source funds to purchase classroom furniture for some of the disadvantaged rural schools in the districts that they work with.
"Things are moving in the right direction. As we speak, we have a 40ft container from Germany loaded with classroom furniture which will soon be arriving in the country. We are currently working on the clearing processes. We are therefore appealing to all Zimbabweans to come on board and support this noble cause. We should not leave such ventures to people in developed countries only. Everyone has a role to play in uplifting our rural communities," said the CNCVCT's Executive Director Mr. Collin Nyabadza who is based in Canada where he operates from.
Mr. Nyabadza however appealed to the government to remove barriers that would speed up the importing of educational equipment destined for poor rural schools, as that way projects would move much faster and more children would benefit.
"We get these things for free, and with less barriers we could definitely impact the school lives of thousands of children at no cost," he added.
