Early Stage Researchers (PhD Studentships) in the field of Transdisciplinary Diaspora Studies
Grade G7/Ac2 £30,122 - £35,938 p.a. salary + £2,134 London Weighting + Supplement

Applications are invited for 2 three year early stage researchers in the field of Diaspora Studies to work on one of two research projects on diasporic constructions of home and belonging (CoHaB). One project will be in the field of Social Anthropology and the other within the fields of Social Anthropology/ Development Studies/Media/Gender/ Postcolonial Studies, or a combination of these disciplines. The projects will be overseen by the SOAS Centre for Migration and Diaspora Studies. The ESRs will complete a doctoral training programme at SOAS. Applicants must apply for a place on an MPhil/PhD programme in a relevant discipline as well as making a job application.
The researchers will be employed by SOAS on a full-time basis whilst undergoing their doctoral training.
The posts will commence in September 2012 and will continue for 3 years.
Annual leave is 30 days per annum plus statutory and bank holidays. USS pension scheme is available.
