The commissioning of a school built by Vice President John Nkomo in Tsholotsho has been postponed for the second time in three months amid reports that some structures are not yet complete.

Manqe Secondary School, the school to be named after Nkomo,  was initially meant to be commissioned by President Robert Mugabe in April before the ceremony was moved to Thursday.

Director in Nkomo's office Ben Martins Dube announced on Wednesday that the ceremony had been postponed indefinitely.

"The ceremony has been postponed. We will advise of a new date soon," he said.

But sources said the school was not entirely complete and builders were putting final touches.

"Final touches are being made so that the President commissions a complete project. The road networks are so bad and need to be attended to so that the place is easily accessible," said the source.
