African Baobab Foundation a nonprofit organisation headquartered in the UK will be Officially Launched in London on the 28th May. The nonprofit organisation is proud to announce that it has 3 Ministers and other delegates that are traveling from Zimbabwe just for this event.
This prestigious event will be attended by Zimbabwean and other African politicians, leading musicians, artists and prominent personalities.
Individuals and businesses are invited to attend and by so doing help launch the Foundation's forward moving plans, which include raising funds for various and worthy charity projects in Zimbabwe and surrounding countries of Africa as a whole.
African Baobab Foundation's main thrust is to unify efforts by Zimbabweans, especially those in the Diaspora, to get their own development and well-being, to increase tourism in Zimbabwe, to highlight the best place's and resorts to visit in Africa and Zimbabwe. We are trying to bring awareness to the loss and closure of lodges, hotels, resorts due to lack of funding.
African Baobab's initial aims are primarily to raise funds that will be directed to three key targets which currently exist without central government funding, while playing a crucial role for social and environmental well being, AFB has a passion for charity projects, tourism growth and development of schools and helping children and the mentally ill.
In a statement, the organisation said, "We aim to unite Zimbabweans in building their country and sponsoring their fellow countrymen's dream and see them come to fruition. Our nation has been dropped of the tourism map and we aim to put it back, we aim to show the beauty that is Zimbabwe and its many wonders and hidden gems. We can only do that if we become united and that is what this organisation is all about."
The BAOBAB, it is not only a symbol of Africa, it is THE symbol of LIFE... as it is the tree of life : providing water, sustenance, shelter and shade for those that need it.
The organisation's immediate charity targets are:
*** Majankila Primary School in an area which has no Government schools. ***King George and Sibantubanye schools and hospitals for disabled and the mentally ill. ***The world renowned Chipangali wild-life orphanage currently under pressure from lack of funds. It says, "This will just be the beginning of a greater programme of independent development, which will improve the lives and future prospects for people, help save animals, keep our game reserves, lodges, and holiday resorts open. We aim to rise awareness on endangered animals like our elephants, lions, zebras, rhinos just to mention a few. Highlight the many reserves, resorts, lodges etc that we have in Zimbabwe this will hopefully boost tourism, which in turn will benefit the Zimbabwean economy."
Individuals and businesses are being asked to contribute by sponsoring and or donating funds. Gold, silver and bronze sponsorship packages are available for businesses and organisations, including advertising and publicity for them in association with this Foundation, as well as the altruistic benefits of being a part in laying the foundations for something great to happen in Zimbabwe.
This is why we are emailing you, we would like to hear from you what and how we can work together. We have open minds and accept any kinds of sponsorship and or donations, From Zimbabwe, London or other African Residence and in return we promise to advertise for you and get more Zimbabweans and Africans aware of all the great wonders of Africa and Zimbabwe.
