Government says it is committed to the development of schools despite capital constraints affecting the economy.
The development of schools in Zimbabwe is under the spotlight as government seeks to mobilise adequate capital to renovate and upgrade infrastructure for the benefit of communities.
Officially opening a geography bloc and computer laboratory at Mukombami High School in Goromonzi North, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Lazarus Dokora said the upgrading of schools remains a key objective of the government.
"We are committed and we shall do something to that effect," said Dokora.
Goromonzi North member of parliament, Paddy Zhanda said the new facilities will improve the quality of students at the school.
"This is really critical as we seek to boost the value of education in the country," Zhanda said.
The development of educational facilities has also been described as critical by education experts in upholding the standards of literacy at a time when Zimbabwe continues to provide quality educational skills despite limited resources.
