President Robert Mugabe on Wednesday capped 190 graduands at Lupane State University.
The graduands were drawn from the faculties of arts, agricultural science and social science, among others.
In his remarks at the 4th graduation ceremony held at the university campus, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr McClean Bhala said while a considerable effort has been put in place to speed-up infrastructure development, resource mobilisation remains a challenge.
The university is yet to relocate from Bulawayo to Lupane and has embarked on a drive to source funding to finish some of its activities, said Dr Bhala.
"In our strategic plan, we had hoped that by this time, we would have relocated to this campus but as you can see, we are still a long way to go before that happens," he said.
Dr Bhala said a fund-raising event held in June in Johannesburg, South Africa saw two enterprises agreeing to embark on a joint venture to construct student hostels for accommodation.
Meanwhile, the President, who is also the Chancellor of the university, commissioned the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences block.
