MSU dismiss relocation rumours

The Midlands State University (MSU)in Gweru has dismissed claims that it is moving some of its faculties to Zvishavane.
The claims are reportedly being spread on WhatsApp.
"It has been brought to our attention that there are messages circulating via WhatsApp to the effect that the University shall be moving certain departments and Faculties to Zvishavane," the institution said in a statement.
"Kindly be advised that the University has not changed its official communication channels. Furthermore, the University has not communicated any movement of Faculties on any platform.
"To this end, kindly be advised that the messages currently being circulated are patently false and should be disregarded.
"The University will communicate any developments using the normal, official communication channels."
The MSU was established in the former Gweru Teachers College campus that has over the years been renovated to fit university standards.
The institution two years ago completed an administration block and multi-purpose hall. MSU also engaged Chinese contractors to build halls of residence for students.
