Mugabe caps 1065 graduates

President Robert Mugabe, who is also the Chancellor of Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) has capped 1 065 students at a ceremony held at the university's new campus.
The graduates were drawn from five faculties namely the faculty of agriculture and environment science, commerce, science education and faculty of social science and humanities.
In his address, BUSE Vice Chancellor Professor Eddie Mwenje said in line with the country's economic blueprint ZIM ASSET, the institution has come up with a strategic development plan focussing on human capital requirement.
He said on his endeavour to produce practitioners that drive commerce and industry, the university has embarked on the growth and development of a science, technology, engineering and mathematics centre.
Turning to infrastructural development, Professor Mwenje said the need for students' accommodation cannot be overemphasized, adding that the institution has embarked on a massive tough development programme that will see 50 percent of the academic stuff acquiring PhDs by December 2018.
The 13th BUSE graduation was attended by cabinet ministers Nicholas Goche, Saviour Kasukuwere, Olivier Muchena, Mashonaland Central Minister of State, Advocate Martin Dinha, and several legislators among others.
