IN a shocking development, Government has introduced examination fees for Grade 7 and increased Ordinary Level examination fees.
The grade seven examination fees have not been set but however, the development could be seen as way of fundraising by government.
The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Dr Lazarus Dokora on Thursday said Cabinet resolved to increase Ordinary Level examinations from the current $13 to $15 per subject which he said was a modest rise.
The approved examination fees are for written, practical and oral subjects.
Dokora said the resolution by cabinet is meant to help cushion ZIMSEC on costs of achieving a tamper-proof examination delivery and monitoring system.
Advanced Level examination fees remain unchanged at $26 per subject.
