Zimbabwe Power Company offer A Level Scholarship

The Zimbabwe Power Company has announced that it is pouring out cash scholarships for prospetive A Level students during the 2015 academic year.

In an advertisement published on several local newspapers the Zimbabwe Power Company said it endeavors to be a responsible citizen through supporting the communities that surround it.

The organisation launched its inaugural scholarship program to empower the younger generation with the necessary skills and experience they need to succeed in their careers.

"The Company is inviting young, dynamic female and male students at universities and secondary schools to establish a lasting relationship with ZPC through its scholarship program with institutions in Zimbabwe," reads the notice.

The scholarship targets Advanced Level and provides full school fees and all related costs.

"Applicants must be under the age of 19 years and in Lower Sixth Form with a combination of science subjects," reads the notice. "Applicants must have passed with As in science subjects at "0" Level."

The company said scholarships will be awarded on the basis of examination performance in standardized tests and by personal interview.

"In response please submit the following documents," reads the notice. "Application letter with clear contact details, Certified copies of birth and academic certificates. A duly completed Application Form downloaded from the ZPC website or obtained from ZPC Head Office and the following Power Stations in Harare, Bulawayo, Hwange, Kariba and Munyati."

It advised that applications from prospective candidates with envelopes clearly marked 'LOWER SIXTH' must be received by not later than 8th May, 2015 via email: scholarships2015@zpc.co.zw or addressed to: The Human Resources Manager Zimbabwe Power Company.
