Milton Junior School headmaster Pettie Nyoni on Monday evening threatened to introduce hot-seating for Grade Zero pupils in 2016 if parents resist paying $100 for construction of classroom blocks.
Nyoni vowed during a heated meeting with parents to discuss how to raise the money.
Trouble began when the school development fund chairman, Ndlovu unilaterally declared that each parents should fork out $100.
Parents quickly objected declaring that they won't allow any imposition.
Said Ndlovu, "Government directed all primary schools in the country to build Early Childhood Development classroom blocks. Therefore we intended to build there blocks and each parent would pay $100".
That sparked chaos.
One parent demanded to know how the $100 was reached at and requested list of quotations from contractors approached.
"We won't accept any imposition of any contributions. How did the committee come up with $100. We thought the meeting was meant to discuss the figure but it appears you now want us to rubber- stamp your figure.
"You should flight tenders for the construction and not to cherry pick companies we don't even know their track record,".
At that point the school head, Nyoni joined the debate.
"As parents you have no option but to pay the money. Only what we want know is a fund to kick start the project.
"If you don't want I won't hesitate to introduce hot seating for grade zero's next year,".
Several parents protested by walking out of the venue.
