School blown off by strong winds

Harare East Member of Parliament Terence Mukupe has lamented the destruction of a Primary School in his constituency which had its roof blown off by heavy winds and rain.

Mukupe made the remarks through his Facebook Wall without disclosing the name of the school.

"Just received sad news that the make shift classes that were set up for a primary school in my constituency catering for 1,200 students have been blown away by heavy winds and rain," he said.

"We have determined that a quick concrete class costs $12,000 and we are urgently appealing for assistance. With the onset of the rains we might have to shut down the school. "
