Masvingo Poly hosts national research conference

Masvingo Polytechnic College will today and tomorrow be hosting (July 28 and 29) a research conference on innovation in technical and vocational education at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel.
This is the second time that such a conference which will attract delegates from higher and tertiary institutions including universities is held. There are over a 100 delegates expected at the conference.
The theme of the conference is 'Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) for Socio-Economic Transformation Through Industrial Innovation' said Dennis Mashoko the event coordinator.
"This will be the first time that the college will host this event which is now an annual thing after the first one was hosted by Bulawayo Poly in Hwange and Victoria Falls," said Mashoko.
The conference will be officially opened by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Dr Machivenyika Mapuranga.
