Milton Junior school in Bulawayo is embroiled in a dispute with parents over the Early Childhood Development graduation funds in which they claim they were advised the event was going to be held at the Rainbow Hotel only to be told in the eleventh hour that it will now be held at the school Hall.

A concerned parent said initial the parents were given sponsorship forms in which each child was to raise $45 for graduation slatted for November 18.

"We were advised that the graduation will be held at the Rainbow Hotel but now we are told it will be at the school Hall," said the angry parent.

"We are told that the graduation will be on November 18 . We asked for a meeting to find out what happened to have the change of the venue but we were shut out from posing those questions."

The parents said they managed to beat the target of their children and wonder what happened to the money they raised for the school to change the venue. They said they suspect that the school authorities are planning to divert the money raised for other things which they described as wrong.

Efforts to get comment from the school officials were fruitless as the teacher in charge could not be reachable since she was said to be in class teaching each time a call was made.
