COALITION of Democrats presidential candidate Elton Mangoma has said the Zimbabwean health system is broken and promised that if the electorate voted for his coalition the efforts will be made to resolve all the problems in the sector.
"The Zimbabwean health system is broken. The government has not paid sufficient attention to it, as a result there are no drugs, facilities are falling into pieces whilst they spend money on completely unnecessary things. As CODE government we ensure that doctors and nurses are paid commensurate they are people who work hard and deserve to be paid," Mangoma said.
"We must not use emotional blackmail doctors and nurses and say that they must give their services for free when everybody else is being paid. Its important that they are properly remunerated and hospitals are equipped then we we will start seeing a better service delivery. As CODE we also look at ensuring that there is investments both from the government and private sector to provide topnotch service to a point other people will be referred to come to our hospitals for specialised treatments."
