Nurses strike a big blow to Zimbabwe

The industrial action by nurses is a big blow to Zimbabwe especially under the so called new Dispensation and above all Independence holiday.
So many people countrywide are dying simply because the government has failed to address the health sector's grievances.
Accident victims are at the receiving end, indeed doctors are working after they had protested against poor remuneration but doctors cannot work alone.
Can Zimbabwe be a country of demonstrations and industrial actions?
What is there to celebrate about tomorrow (independence) when patients are dying?
I have just seen a statement by the Minister of Health and Child Care Dr David Parirenyatwa who acknowledged the nurses' grievances as genuine and valid following representations by the nursing staff through the Zimbabwe Nurses Association (ZINA).
The urgent call off of the industrial action by the minister to allow government, through its appropriate arms, to finalise decisions on the matter is threatening in my view instead the grievances should be addressed first for nurses to resume duty.
