Cholera Suspect Tests Negative

The suspected cholera case that was reported in Kadoma last week has tested negative,a reliable source has revealed.
Social media in Kadoma went ablaze with the news that a single case of cholera had been detected in one of Kadoma suburb of Munhumutapa,sending shivers in the city's residents fearing the return of 2008 cholera outbreak that killed dozens of people in Kadoma.
Dr Daniel Chirundu, Kadoma City Council Director of Health has revealed that the cholera case tested negative after laboratory tests.
"The suspected case of cholera that was under check las week has turned culture negative after samples had been sent to a lab in Harare and the person has recovered and has since been discharged from the healthy centre!"said Dr Chirundu
