Zim commemorates World AIDS Day

Zimbabwe this Saturday joined the rest of the world in commemorating World AIDS Day.
World Aids Campaign which includes the World AIDS Day commemorations in Zimbabwe is held under the facilitation of the National AIDS Council on December 1st of every year.
It brings together government, United Nations agencies, civil society and the business sector among others.
The day is set aside to raise awareness and call for action in response to HIV and AIDS interventions.
World AIDS day was first commemorated in 1988 after being designated by the World Health Organisation.
The national commemorations are being held at Dulibadzimu in Beitbridge.
